Bond & Financial Products (B & FP) is seeking an experienced business intelligence professional to lead the business strategy & analysis group with the B&FP business intelligence organization. This individual will drive the execution of the strategy, leveraging data, information, foundational analytics as well as analytic tools/applications for critical decision making leading to business success. Integral to this will be supporting the analysis and development of a next generation business intelligence data warehousing platform for B & FP.

This role will be accountable for building, leading, managing, mentoring, and developing the team responsible for data management and for collecting and synthesizing business requirements to support advanced business intelligence techniques. This position will require a close working relationship with key partners including MI IT, Product, Actuarial and Finance. This person will be accountable for thought leadership in identifying and outlining business intelligence requirements for and with B & FP-s business customers.

Additional Key Accountabilities to include:
-Foster a culture by which information is integral to decision making
-Build expertise through hiring key resources and developing skills of existing team
-Establish standards for business processes within the unit
-Establish data management and governance procedures within B & FP
-Ensure alignment with enterprise information and analytic application strategy efforts
-Serve as the liaison with business sponsors and information delivery
-Create and maintain a proactive communications culture
-Facilitate the prioritization of projects and requirements among competing business interests
-Identify, communicate and mitigate project risks to stakeholders, and ensure teams have appropriate support to meet goals
-Align data warehousing, database, and other information technology projects with overall business strategy
-Secure and maintain funding for key initiatives and measure return on investment

Experience and Requirements:
-10+ years experience in business intelligence, data warehousing and/or financial systems
-Proven track record of delivering successful business intelligence projects that add significant value to the business
-Solid understanding and appreciation for business components for information strategy
-Knowledge in technical aspects of business intelligence including data modeling, tools, relational database management systems, ETL, metadata / data management, and OLAP tools
-Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Cognos, SAS and WebFOCUS
-Good overall understanding of the various analytical and reporting processes in a large insurance company including operational reporting, predictive modeling, financial analysis, and data mining.
-Demonstrated strong decision making- strategic and critical thinking ability
-Solid analytical, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills to understand and anticipate the impact and opportunities across multiple critical projects
-Strong program management skills
-Experience in developing working relationships with top business and technical executives
-Bachelor-s degree required and MBA or Master-s Degree preferred
