Summary
Responsible for conducting and documenting complex financial analysis projects related to IT Asset management and various IT Operations and Systems support areas. Job may provide functional advice or training to less experienced financial analyst jobs. Activities impact the most complex expense and/or systems/operational projects dealing with reports and data management to include
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Project management skills - handle large, complex projects and resolves difficult issues.
Provide financial and/or accounting expertise and act as project leader for teams addressing broad financial and/or accounting/expense issues. Application of GAAP as required.
Evaluate, develop and maintain financial/operational/accounting controls and standards around IT Assets and other functions
Produce accurate and timely monthly/weekly &daily financial reports,
variance analyses, ad hoc reports and modeling to meet area reporting requirements.
Analyze and interpret trends and variances in business performance & expenses.
Act as technical resource to less experienced members of unit.
Recommend solutions for process inefficiencies
Maintains financial and operational integrity of IT Asset management day to day activities
Education / Work Experience
Bachelor-s degree in finance or accounting or related field. Significant financial analysis/accounting experience.
Ability to develop new and improve existing procedures and controls, policies and ensure compliance with approved standards.
Proven Project Management Skills for multi year projects
Demonstrated expertise in spreadsheet and database software and financial modeling tools.
Understanding of insurance products, GAAP and statutory accounting. In depth knowledge of accounting practices and principles.
Advanced formal financial education preferred. Effectively articulates financial/accounting/expense reporting issues to team members, customers, management and external parties. Proficient in using company systems/processes.
