SUMMARY:
Provide Leadership to accomplish the Select Operations business plan by maintaining a cost effective organization that monitors agent and policyholder satisfaction and ensures the effective application of underwriting policies and programs, Effectively models and supports the concept of self directed teams.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Maintain a culture that is team oriented and customer service focused.
Take responsibility for individual and collective team leader motivation, growth and professional development through personal example.
Serves as a communication link between Claim, RVP's, and agents in all states served by the business center.
Proactive in community affairs and various industry boards and bureaus.
Contributes input into Personal Lines business plans and provides strategic direction in state strategy, pricing, product development and production planning sessions.
Accountable for underwriting profit in business center supported states.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Interacts effectively with all audiences both internal and external. Establishes by example a tone of concern, caring and cooperation throughout the business center. Communicates constructively, logically, concisely and in a manner which encourages open and continuous communication. Clearly establishes and consistently communicates the vision and mission of the business center.
OTHER:
Leadership: Acts as a champion of change and innovation while enabling others to achieve their full potential. Sets the highest personal and professional standards and inspires others to do the same. Establishes and shares a vision for the business center. Consistently reaches beyond the immediate and obvious to see possibilities where others may not.
Management of Resources: Seeks and maintains the highest levels of efficiency and productivity. Understands and conveys the value and effective application of knowledge, time and technology. Utilizes compensation and alternative reward and recognition approaches to achieve and maintain a high satisfaction/high performance environment. Encourages and ensures diversity.

Job, project and other forms of experience which encourage the development of broad knowledge of insurance in general and personal lines products, underwriting, marketing and finance specifically. Experience with the independent agency and other delivery systems. Assignments in both the field and Home Office. Experience in managing team oriented culture.
