SUMMARY:
-Provide overall leadership and direction for all outside property claim unit in the state of Kentucky by ensuring file quality, expense management, payout and customer service targets are met and exceeded.
-Develop and implement unit process improvement initiatives.
-Responsible for file reviews of unit members to measure and improve performance of unit results. Focus on achievement of superior file quality results consistent with Best Practices.
-Provide overall leadership and guidance to team members. Select, train and motivate team. Responsible for staff development, performance management and compensation planning.
-Provide development opportunities, ongoing counsel and constructive performance feedback.
-Ensure appropriate deployment of resources to adequately meet workload. Assist team members in managing multiple priorities. Continually evaluate more efficient and creative ways to manage workflow more effectively.
-Assure regulatory compliance for all claims handled within unit.
-Other general management responsibilities as assigned.
-Provide overall leadership and direction to a team of claim handlers including coaching, mentoring, and development.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
-Appropriate deployment of resources to maximize productivity and unit cost.
-Effectively manage expenses to help promote competitiveness in the marketplace.
-Periodic customer, agent, and broker visitation.
-Preparation and participation in account file reviews.
-Achievement of superior file quality consistent with Best Practices and Key Metric results.
-Represent Claim Management team in Louisville Satellite Operation.
-Participation with Director of Operations in Financial Audit functions of the Louisville Satellite Operation.
-Responsible for Claim Operational functions in Kentucky.
EDUCATION/COURSE OF STUDY:
-Property Technical Expertise (Personal and Commercial)
-College degree preferred or equivalent work experience
-Claim Management experience preferred
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Computer literate
WORK EXPERIENCE:
-3-5 Years Property claim handling experience a minimum. Demonstrated leadership in current or prior positions held.
-Comprehensive understanding of Personal and Commercial Lines Property coverage.
-Comprehensive understanding of building damage estimating guidelines.
-Knowledge of Xactimate required.
-Command of Impact workstation and Word. Excel a plus.
-Current knowledge of jurisdictional laws and regulations
-Demonstrated Leadership skills/Ability to energize others
-Highly self-motivated
-Demonstrated excellent customer service, communication and relationship management skills
-Customer Focus, Decisive and flexibility
-Planning, prioritizing, goal setting
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
OTHER:
Span of control approximately 6 to 8 Claim Professionals/approximately 1 to 3 support staff.
